Vienna – Jewish Meldungskarte from Moritz Rosenfeld
This ‘Meldungskarte’ belonged to Mortiz Rosenfeld and it was used in Vienna (Austria) between 1938 and 1939.
Moritz Rosenfeld was born on December 24, 1886 in Vienna (Austria).
He was an accountant by profession and because he was Jewish, Moritz was deported on October 1, 1942 to Theresienstadt concentration camp in the Czech Republic.
Here he was given prisoner number 31960.
On January 23, 1943, Moritz was again deported along with more than 2000 other inmates to Auschwitz concentration camp.
Moritz Rosenfeld was murdered here almost shortly after.
Of the 2017 prisoners that were in transport Cr. Nr. 1687 from Theresienstadt to Auschwitz only 5 survived.
