Croatian Jewish metal identification badge

This metal Croatian Jewish identification badge is in worn condition and contains the “Z” for “Zidov” on the front.
The badge was made of aluminum and features a pin on the back.

Beginning in June 1941, Jews in Croatia were deported to concentration camps under the rule of the Ustaša.
Between August 1942 and May 1943, the remaining Jews in Croatia were deported to the Auschwitz concentration camp.
Around 30,000 Croatian Jews died during the Holocaust.
